THE LOCATION REVIEW: the plum location got new owners and all the vegan options this store once had (that always sold out fast mind you) they removed. Tired of going to a million different stores for my family.

STORE BRAND REVIEW:
First Street Lawn & Leaf Bags, ive been buying for YEARS, yes they became thiner but still was the best unfortunately they started to leak and break more&more and now they are completely unusable 100% of the time. Faulty bottom seal with multiple boxes.

I Don't trust their in-store brand any longer. Costco it is.

This is a decent grocery store with a fairly large produce section. They have sales to draw you into the store that are pretty incredible. I get a lot of beverages on sale there. It is clean and organized enough. Their prices are in the middle of the road. Not too high but never the lowest. It is worth downloading the app and taking advantage of the sales.

Average prices with absolutely terrible utilization of check out lanes.
15 people waiting to check out? 2 cashiers is probably enough for that.
Have 50 items? No one will stop you from using the express lane. It's the same stupid story whenever I visit.

Update! It's now 12/2024 and things are worse than ever. Lines getting longer and slower. Why are there NEVER enough cashiers here? Don't plan on making it a quick trip if you visit here.

KEY ME KIOSK
My wife and I used the key kiosk from 365 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV 89502, To make a copy of our house key.
The first key copy charges you 6-8$. But after that it's 15-20$ a key.
What's makes it more unfortunate is that the key DOES NOT work well at all.
The teeth did not get carved decently.
I have to jiggle it for 5 minutes.
I get so frustrated trying to open my door. The overall experience what's not worth the money nor the time.
Better to use a local lock smith that way you support a local business and you'll get a key that actually works! ?

Today i went to smart & final at 365 east plumb Lane store #585. Took my fold up cart for Groceries. Got all my groceries paid for them,then i left the store,standing at the bus stop,the cashier that wait on me,comes running out the store yelling at me that i had the store fold up cart. Basically.she Accused me of stealing a cart that belong to me. I told come check my because it had my name on it,i had a sticker from target on there. I brought it from target about ten years.But i was accused of stealing it smart & final.the cashier said she was only doing what she was told to do. Very Embarrassing. To be yelled at and being accused of stealing!

The WORST experience of my life. I was doing 2 huge instacart orders. 3 carts of very heavy stuff and some small things. I had it all organized. Even flipped so the cashier could ring it up easily. Sharnelle, I think her name was. She was very rude. Mixed up my orders because I wasn't putting them in the cart fast enough. Told me she had a line when no on else was behind me. Luckily another cashier saw this and asked if I needed help. I was shaking and I am not one to get upset. Please do something about this. It was on 10/3 around 1:30pm register 5.

Very nice store. Excellent produce and good prices. Have always had great service. Stockers always helpful. Carolyn is awesome and other checkers, too. I was told today by another checker (V) it's the rule that if you bring your own bag, the clerk won't put your groceries in it. Seems like the rule isn't the same with all checkers but hey fair enough ... although it was weird me not knowing and the clerk piling my stuff right in front of the atm/check shelf so I couldn't really grab it and her just staring at me rolling her eyes annoyed. Hee hee hee. Not quite as much giggling charm as she had for the handsome young Latin man in line ahead of me. Wink! I get it. You go girl. Maybe the checkers could explain the policy & move the groceries down the checkout area a bit so the customers can pack up faster & make it easier for the checkers. And, hopefully if we need an actual bag for something like a hot chicken we could get one even if we bring a bag of our own for other stuff. Thx! Great store.

I love smart and final, I wish you could get a store in carson City. I wouldn't have to drive 30 miles just for my favorite items
