They know the real- estate market in the South Bay well and effective prepare the properties they represent in ways that drive buyers to want the property they are selling. We were first introduced to the Hoffman Murphy Team several years ago when we attended one of their seminars on "prepping your house for sale" or something to that nature.
We were very impressed with their "team" professional approach in property sales and acquisitions.
Each team member was very knowledgeable in what sells a house as well as a "specialty" area.
Over the years we have used the HMRET to come into our house and evaluate and recommend any areas that we should focus on upgrading prior to selling the house.
Most recently, we attended a garden party at Marie's house. We were interested in upgrading our kitchen counters so we looked to them for advice. One of the team members stopped by and offered suggestions as well as a referral for the job.
We contracted with the referral. He was 1 out of 4 bids we got. His bid was about in the middle of the others. He did an excellent job on replacing our tile counters with Quartz at a reasonable price.

I made the decision to sell my Torrance townhome after 30 years of ownership and was interviewing different realtors. I had already done some home updates, but knew I still had more to do to get it ready to sell. A friend told me about her great experience with the Hoffman Murphy Real Estate Team. They not only helped her identify what updates could be done relatively inexpensively, but also helped her find the people to do the work. I talked with Marie Hoffman and immediately felt like I was talking with a friend. The following week I met with her and and Laura Grabher, one of the listing agents, at my home and after some discussion decided the Hoffman Murphy Team was exactly what I needed. With their guidance on various updates and assistance in getting the contractor estimates, I decided to do a little more updating than I was originally planning. After all the updates, having an appropriate listing price and excellent home staging, the result was just what we were hoping for. After the first open house weekend, we received multiple offers at or over asking price. I'm pleased to say that during the entire process from start to finish, Marie or someone from the team were always available to spend time with me, answer all my questions, provide updates or just be a sounding board when my stress level was a little high.
