I’ve been a regular customer at this store for years and never had any issues—until Shelley became the manager. My first interaction with her was when I mentioned that a bottle of lemon juice fell off the cart and broke because it had been packed improperly. When I asked why it wasn’t packed better, she dismissed my concern. Since then, she has consistently profiled me. I even started avoiding her by letting others go ahead of me so I wouldn’t have to interact with her.

One day, I suspected I had been double-charged and approached her with the receipt, explaining that I hadn’t even left the store yet. She responded by saying she’d have to check the cameras—after dealing with her long line of customers—to verify if I was telling the truth. When I told her I didn’t like dealing with her, she replied, “Too bad, I’m the manager, and I’m the only one who can give refunds.” I asked for the corporate number, but she refused to provide it. I ended up calling the store to get the information but wasn’t successful, so I reached out to the district manager, who seemed to blow it off.

I can’t help but wonder if this treatment is because I’m a Black man, as this isn’t the first time I’ve felt targeted by her.

Went into the Reno store today. All small carts were out, so I had to carry my things. They were out of what I went in for; but it is the day before the holiday. The line was long; but a man offered to let me set my items on his cart while we waited. Two registers shortened the wait, and everyone was pleasant.

One time they missed charging me for an entire case of MarsCapone, over $100. My 11yo son noticed as we were looking at receipts across town at Trader Joe’s. We drove out of our way, back to US Foods Chefstore to pay for it, thus adding 40 minutes to our travels. Mainly to teach a good lesson to my son about honesty and service. The next visit to US Foods Chefstore I needed to return two sleeves of coffee cup lids that were the wrong size, about $7, they denied it without a receipt. I’ve been going in there multiple times per month for years & spent thousands per year. What’s more annoying is that IT WAS THE SAME CASHIER THAT MISSED THE MarsCapone the week before!

Today our team called because we live and work in Tahoe, over an hour away and there is a snow storm.
I asked about Croissant Dough availability….the
MANAGER said, “Sorry, you’ll have to come to the store and see. We are understaffed and there are only two of us on the registers”. She was direct, curt and dismissive!

This store seems to have poor leadership & definitely has poor customer service, little to no concern for guests experience.

As a Business to Business style “retail” store that is designed for convenience to business owners, they should operate better than a Dollar Store.

This store is consistently out of stocked items, disorganized, understaffed, misses scheduled pre-orders & has poor customer service.

After looking up the manager’s self description on the website, it seemed apropos that most sentences begins with “I”!

US Foods is a good concept and necessary for the economy of local vendors, be better! Perhaps talk about your team and build a positive culture rather than treat clients poorly.

Sysco doesn’t need marketing, sales or advertising with competitors as poor as this store!

This is the next day after the review, I went to the store as instructed….two stock personnel informed me that don’t carry croissants at all!! Thanks for the drive Shelley. Sorry to have bothered you!!

Shelly is the laziest, not to be bothered person ever. She doesn't know anything and clearly has no urge to want to help. Need help signing up for click and carry? Need them to check if they're out of stock of a product?(They can literally type the product number into the computer and still if you ask they say that what's on the shelves is all they have. Only for me to walk into the freezer and find more of what I was looking for. they literally said "I know nothing about that" when I asked for help signing up for click and carry. They don't know anything, do the bare minimum and don't help. You're literally better off going to the one in Carson.

They are frauds. I was told I can return the item as long as I have the receipt and the item, and they didn't take the item because it was open while I didn't use it at all.

I come to this place 3-4 times a week. Never had I had a problem with one of their employees until now. I would never have thought I would have to leave a review like this for this store. The experience I had with one of the employees name Katie really struck me as a customer.

I left my cart in the meat cooler because I was obviously shopping for heavy meats. I received a phone call from my boss and Katie yelled at me from across the cooler “you can’t leave your cart in here when I am moving pallets!!!”. So when I got off the phone I went up to her and said “good morning to you too”. Then I asked for her name, she gestured to her shirt and I gave this complaint to Claudia at the front of the store.

Overall I would always give this store 5 stars but this experience really rubbed me the wrong way. Customer service is one of the core principles in running a business and when a employee acts like that it really makes you wonder if you should bring your business elsewhere. I hope management gets to read this and do something about it. If not I will stop coming here completely.
